Ciao and welcome to a quick little post to remember the jaunt we made from Lake Garda, across the top of Italy, to the city of Trieste. After leaving Lake Garda and making our way around the lake, we made a pit stop in the beautiful city of Vicenza.
We had decided to stop for a night along the way in a cute AirBnB and cute it sure was. We made a platter, drank a lot of wine, and made Catherine watch High School Musical because it’s criminal that she missed out on that crucial education growing up. Our perfect renditions of “Get Your Head in the Game” may still haunt her to this day but that’s what a bottle of wine will do to a girl, I make no apologies.
The next day we made a final stop in Treviso – another gorgeous Italian city because I don’t think Italians are capable of anything that isn’t beautiful.
Then on to Trieste where we were finally able to return the rental car! (Turned out to be a total nightmare which took an entire day but hey, we got there in the end and we were in Italy so can’t really complain).
Trieste was a surprisingly beautiful city! (What am I talking about, I was just saying that everything in Italy is beautiful). It felt like a very liveable city, and we enjoyed taking a relaxed approach to exploring, while we prepared to move on to a whole new country.
